Mule Deer
As of 2000, there were over 540,000 mule deer in Wyoming- higher than the resident human
population. This should give prospective hunters a good idea of what to expect when
hunting Mule Deer in Wyoming; chances for success are excellent. We can give you an
excellent opportunity to harvest a trophy buck in Wyoming.
Our Mule Deer hunting is done using 4x4 vehicles and on foot. The country varies from
wide-open hogbacks to some timber. We do some stand hunting, but the majority is spot
and stalk. We glass from different locations to locate a viable buck, and then figure out
a way to get in there for a good shot. This will be quite a challenge for some hunters,
although we will adjust our pace to accommodate the client. The better physical shape
you're in, the better chance you will have for a real trophy deer. Shots can run from
50 yards to 400 yards. We don't need to shoot at running deer. The bucks are normally
4x4's in the 20"-26" range. Some hunts can be combined with antelope and/or elk hunts.
