Antelope
Wyoming is home to the world's largest population of Pronghorn Antelope.
This means you will have an excellent opportunity to harvest a world-class
trophy if you come to Wyoming to hunt Pronghorn Antelope. The Pronghorn Antelope
is a truly unique animal, having no immediate relationship to other North American
animals. It is also the fastest land animal in North America, capable of sprinting
at a rate of up to 70 miles per hour.
Trophy Pronghorn Antelope (Archery)
Most of our Archery Antelope Hunting is done over water holes. You would be in a
windmill stand or in a ground blind. Your shots should be 30 yards and under. We like
to refer to this hunt as a "hard" easy hunt. You are not expected to walk miles across
the prairie or climb steep mountains, but sometimes the patience needed to endure the
wind and heat of August and September can be just as trying. This is a great hunt to
get your name in the Pope & Young Record Book since the minimums are still reasonable.
Trophy Pronghorn Antelope (Rifle)
We offer fully guided 2 x 1 rifle hunts for Pronghorn Antelope. The terrain varies
from open, rolling prairie to sagebrush country. This is a great hunt for people hunting
the West for the first time. You get a good feel for Western hunting and a great opportunity
to harvest a very unique and special trophy. The bucks we harvest are typically in the
13"-15" range. We do the hunting using 4x4 vehicles and on foot. We use a spot and stalk
method to ensure shots at reasonable ranges as well as a humane kill. See the price sheet
for information on rates and accommodations.
